    Wilsons Plover and Chick

    The chick was running all over the place on Fort Myers Beach with his mother trying hard to keep a close eye on him. Unfortunately she never got close enough to get both in the same frame so had to make do with individual shots. Both shot with 300 f4 and converter

              flat out

              hope the Chick grows into those legs
              trouble is a lot of bigger birds use the beach including the great Blue Herons which are quite partial to a little chick - I would imagine that is what had happened to the rest of the brood and mum trying to keep a watchful eye out
