    Meet Miss Spiky

    I don't know how to determine if this Cacti is male or female!. But I do know that this one has been getting a bit of TLC recently and has rewarded us with this flower and another one in the making.

    I've been keeping my eye on it to catch it with the flower open. Today it obliged and allowed me to capture a frame or two, this is the one I chose to process. As always your thoughts and comments are welcome.

      and maybe with a lighter BG...

      I can't make out if it's a small cactus with a small flower... or... a big cactus with a huge flower! since it's a 'macro' I assume it's a small one. Anyhow great detail in the flower; they can produce some lovely flowers...
      Cheers;

          I did consider that Stan, as well as if to include all of the pot. But as the pot has a chrome finish I decided not to include all of it and just to go with just the rim of the pot showing.

          Lee the pot rim is 114mm square, 4.5 inches in old money . The cacti flower is 100mm above the rim of the pot. I hope this clarifies the size issue for you.
