We are very fortunate this week - Scotsman on Tuesday morning and due twice today - this is this morning's pass - running very clean (unfortunately!).

Like that more, it shows the detail far better. Was that at Flax Bourton area of track?

the edit is much better but doesn't come close to the B&W one

Nice one, as you already know steam would have helped the shot, I also think this is one of the very best subjects for B&W

Ian is right, the B&W one on Flickr looks superb. Can't do anything about the smoke/steam but still a nice shot.
