They are both excellent but the first is a tad over-processed for me, so #2 is my pick.

Both really good. If I had to choose I'd go for the 2nd one too.

                Re: Sundown Boats...

                Thanks folks

The processing for each was different and I was under no illusion that the grittier HDR Efex Pro style of the first would be the least popular I did also merge the shots to HDR using CS6 but the result was totally flat and uninteresting. One day Aurora will be available for the PC or maybe I'll find the time to explore luminosity masks then I'll be able to produce HDRs that are vibrant but less challenging to the viewer. Probably

                Cheers,
                John

Really enjoying the sky in #1, but the ground area is overdone for my liking... #2 much better...

                      Re: Sundown Boats...

Both nice, John. On the first it's probably only the patch of swirly cloud above the sun that I find overdone, everything else I like. And the second is really lovely with its rich and deep colours. I do wonder whether just lightening the boat a fraction would increase the interest in the right foreground, but clearly too much will look wrong.

Although I like the scene in #1 as there is lots to look at, I do think there has been too much change, like #2 very much though

                        Regards Paul

Its all in the eyes! Our eyes. I see what people are saying and if I was forced to choose i would pick no. 2 as well, but both are still nice shots. Well done.
