I was in a bird hide last week with several other EOS photographers - two whom had EOS1D's with big canon lenses 500/600mm & extenders. Two gents were supporting the cameras on gimbals with the gimbal attached to a half moon shaped metal(?) device with multiple screw threaded leg fixing holes. Three short legs, metal, with fixed ball feet; this allowed the camera to be positioned on the bird hide shelf.
Does anyone know what these gimbal 'supports' are called/manufacturers details please.
