              thought someone would notice that - had just been shooting in a shaded area when the kite appeared and no time to change settings

                  I'm glad that catches out the more experienced togs too - not just me!
                  it was very early in the morning and although blue skies, the sun was still low in the sky and the whole waterway we were shooting was in shade from rows of trees behind us

                              I have not heard of this bird then I realised you took the image in Florida.
                              Wow! that is a cracking looking bird, well captured.
