    Blowing Barley

    Hi,

Out and about Yesterday - very windy. Came across this Barley field full of movement. Tried to capture the movement but found it very difficult to do it justice. any way my best shots. not sure about the processing!

      Re: Blowing Barley

Two very different images, Guy, and both very good. I've tried shots like the first before and I always end up disappointed, don't know why, but you've got closer than I ever have. You've managed to get enough 'swirl' on the tops while retaining a bit of stillness at the base. I think the image would look slightly better with the pylons gone, but not everyone will agree. I will also say it would have made a great entry into the current Challenge (but too late to put this one in now), just saying...
The second is really lovely. Perfectly sharp, great depth of field and works really well in mono.

I like the top one , think it must be hard to get such a photo just as you want it .

No. 1 does catch some movement so if that was what you were after then I think you succeeded. But.... No. 2 is different and I like it a lot. Very good.

Both are really nice shots. I've attempted doing similar to #2 but never achieved anything as good as that! I'm inspired to keep trying, though!
