    normally always point my camera away from those cross things, but it works well here - nice processing too

          I do like the picture and the processing is spot on. The lamp bothers me a bit though, it's competing the cross. Scrolling the pic the shot works without the lamp.

                  Thanks guys! As for the lamp, I was given some license but the lamp wasn't one of them. To me it isn't distracting but art is subjective. I would have considered it distracting if it was lit. I moved all that I was able. I could remove it in post processing but I don't see a marked value in doing so. The lighter colors subdue it to the piano and cross IMO. Contrast in B&W is what makes something prominent. There really is little contrast between the lamp and the wall.

                  I have a good relationship with the facility where this was taken. But I am not supposed to move the antiques. In this image I relocated a chair and a "Don't Touch" sign LOL! I wanted authenticity...

                    I was about to type the same thing. Agree, I like the composition and the processing that fits the subject really well but for me, the lamp should go.
