In recent months I have added two new lenses to my collection.
Firstly I wanted a wide-angle and after visiting Park Cameras and trying a few out I went for the canon 11-24mm lens.
Its a beautiful lens giving excellent results.
The detail and clarity of the images are excellent. Its quick to focus and performance at low light has been excellent.
It is a big heavy lens which is the negative, but I forgive this due to image quality.
Secondly I decided to get the 24-70mm f2.8 due to the low light nature of some of the places I visit.
An initial trip to Euston station and a tour of the disused tunnels has indicated this is a great lens.
Focus was nice and quick and the image quality is superb, performance in low light is great and the f2.8 gives plenty of options when really pushed for light.
Both lenses are excellent and I am please with them both.
The 24-70mm seems likely to become my "go to" lens instead of my trusty 24-105mm although that is still a good lens.
There are some images on my Flickr site using both lenses and I'll post some here later in the weekend.
