Mono of Favaritx Lighthouse

Here's the mono offerings of the LE lighthouse in Menorca.

Just to try and get something different from it I cloned the cliff out of the second image. What a landscape competition would call 'your view' rather than 'classic view'. Bo and I tried to shoot it like this on Monday but it was impossible without hovering in mid air.

I like the mono conversions but much prefer the original second shot, with the foreground.

Thanks for the input John. I wanted to try one without the cliffs seeing as tried hard to find a vantage point where they were not intrusive.

Very nice, Tony, and agree the mono works better than the colour, I found the blues a bit over saturated. Of the two I prefer the first, compositionally I like the lead in and filling the space.

Great to see the mono versions and it's interesting how you have split opinions,all 4 versions have their merits.

Have to say it's strange to see a gurt big rock vanish.......!

Thanks Alex - I always prefer mono and using two filters combined can sometimes saturate the colours.
