    Common Froghopper larva

    I think that I've identified this little fella correctly. It was spotting him at the weekend that prompted me to grab the camera and try some macro shots, including the bees & wasps posted previously.
    I've put this in Macro rather than Small Creatures as he really was tiny and I was quite pleased with the detail. It looks far better on Flickr at full size, IMO.

    I like that Chris , and don`t recall seeing anything similar before either .

      Thanks Mark. If you ever came across something on a plant as a child that you might have called "cuckoo spit", it's caused by these!
