Call barring with Doro 810 mobile phone

I hope our good friends will be able to help me. I am going bonkers with unwanted phone calls on my Doro 810 mobile phone. I have looked at the handbook and have also asked my daughter (quite experienced with such devices) but am unable to bar some stupid phones which I get on this mobile from people wanting to give me loans, to making bogus car accident and PPI claims. I would like to bar these callers but am unable to do so. Sometimes the same caller rings me 4 times a day. I do not answer these phone calls but the caller persists. I know that I can change my phone number but this would mean my informing all my friends and family who are scattered around the globe!

I am with O2 on a PAGO package.

Can any member advise me as to how I go along barring these callers?

This phone has a heavily modified version of Android. If call blocking is possible might well depend on the age of the version of Android.

In general select the incoming call number and choose details. Once new screen appears tap the 3 dots that are top right, one of the options will be block contact.

If it's not like this it might be an old version of Android.

Thanks Ant. I understand that this model cannot bar unwanted phone calls. The Doro people have advised me to get on to Google play store!

You could always update your phone to a modern one that allows call blocking and still keep your same number .you can take your number with you even if you change networks to a cheaper one ,there's some amazing cheap sim only deals out there these days

Thanks Jeff. I have now joined the telephone blocking service (free) and this has stopped a lot of the nuisance calls. If after 28 days I still receive call I can lodge a complaint and the caller will be fined.
