    Purple Flowered Potato

Prompted by Stan's potato field thread. I decided to wander in to the vegetable plot with my camera. The flowers are fading on this plant but you can see traces of the original colour. They should be ready for harvesting in a week or two, so I may have to do a taste test.

This is a second early variety (especially for the Bird Photographers on here) called........wait for it.......

We had the first taste this evening, very nice texture and flavour. They had purple eyes when I tipped them out of the container I'd grown them in.
