Nat may I suggest that if the opportunity should arise again. You jump on one of the ponies back with a wide angle lens and click away - you should get some impressive shots. Better still give the pony a dig get them moving at speed, you still riding bare back across the North Wales countryside with their manes flowing in the wind. --- look forward to seeing your action shots.

Thanks Trev & Colin. So the good banter goes on; long may the forum live! The only time I ever rode on an animal's back was on a Camel in Tunisia, some years ago. When I finally dismounted, I found myself walking like John Wayne!!! So on a wild pony I will be biting the dust more often than not!
