    Model on the Pier!

One I took at Walton on the Naze Pier Friday evening with our camera club.

Was hoping to get some nice shots with all the funfair rides and Candy floss stalls but.........they were all closed as the pier is under new management

a young lady is much better than candy floss

I think I might crop to a more square format to lose the knees

Very attractive young lady, beautifully captured. I am sure she would be thrilled with a copy of that shot. I much prefer the gentle "Mona Lisa" approach to the big toothy smile, very well done ........... one to be proud of.

        Cheers Stan,

        Might have worded that wrong.
I wanted to shoot (not literally) the model against a vibrant background showing all the fun of the fair lol!
I have images minus knees and also without the railing behind but I kind of like this one

Lovely image, and I wouldn't crop it at all. Congrats!

                            Re: Model on the Pier!

I like the pose. I caught two things right off the bat. The lipstick really dominates the image and doesn't look clean (you mentioned the lipstick malfunction) and I would aim to clean up the crow's feet. The 70-200 f/2.8 L is a great lens but in portraits it shows every little detail. Everything else about it I like. The clean, uncluttered background gives her prominence in the portrait and that is why those two things stuck out to me. There is no doubt what the subject here is. Well done!
