      thank you its something you don't get to see as the ship is always docked and the underside is under water looking at the hull.
      I now can understand the dread words ill keel haul you really meant. if you notice the workman at the bottom of the dry dock for scale.

          I now can understand the dread words ill keel haul you really meant.
          I understand that Keel Hauling was a two pronged punishment. If you could hold your breath long enough to survive the Keel Haul, you probably wouldn't survive the effect of the barnacles attached to the hull, ripping the skin and soft tissue from your back.
