    I was at Cromarty this morning to see the ship come into Invergordon

    Lucky you, I was hoping to get her under the Forth Bridge until they sneaked it out at midnight. Great shot of a great craft.

            Good to see us with an aircraft carrier again, lovely shot. In the early 1960's I came home from Singapore on HMS Bulwark, also known as the Rusty Bucket.

              In the early 1960's I came home from Singapore on HMS Bulwark, also known as the Rusty Bucket.
              I seem to recall she mainly carried helicopters.

                At least unlike HMS Betty, she carried something nice shot.

                I take it she is still undertaking shipyard trials etc as she is flying the Blue Ensign

                  Great image...I'd like top see it close up.....I think it has a few years of fitting out yet before commissioning.

                    She is still undergoing sea trials and is still in Invergordon think she is due to leave on Thursday.

                      Yes Colin, we had choppers on board. I was serving with 40 Commando RM at the time --- my wild mad days!

                          yes you are correct commando helicopter. 10ft to my right on the dining room wall a picture of her.
                          also served on Old Ark royal, Eagle, the latest Ark royal and would love to serve on this one. Lovely ship.
