    Digital SLR Photography magazine

I had an interesting time yesterday afternoon and evening. I was invited by one of the professionals togs with Digital SLR Photography magazine to go up to the Norfolk coast to shoot some seascape shots. It was just the two of us and we were shooting until 10pm; I eventually got home at 1am but it was worth it. The idea is they'll write it up as a workshop/challenge article. I'll post some images in due course and tell you which copy it will be in so you can all rush off to the newsagents

Good for you and what great opportunity.

I love going out with other TOG's and whether I know more than them, or they know more than me, I always learn something new and thoroughly enjoy the day.

            Look forward to publication.

                Well done

Did you apply to them - we did a while ago where they wanted to pit husband against wife but we heard nothing so wondering how they choose

I replied to a Facebook post saying I was interested. I didn't give them too much information other than specifying the area of photography I am interested in and a link to Flickr. On the day, I didn't delve too much as to why I was selected but I do know it was the pro photographer that chose me. I got the impression they were not looking for a complete novice but also not an accomplished expert either (which is just about all of us); they wanted to add value to your photography skills on the day. I know you had to be flexible in terms of the dates; the original day was changed 24 hours before due to a forecast of heavy rain and where you are based was also a consideration. The shoot was on the Norfolk coast and I wouldn't want to be much more away than the two hours it takes me to get there as I was back home well after midnight.

Not really sure that answers your question Stan.
