    Hawker Hurricane (B&W)

I wasn't sure whether to post this in 'Air' or not, but decided on here as the most appropriate.

I took a shot of a Hawker Hurricane on static display at the Blackbushe Festival of Flight but I didn't think that it worked particularly well straight OOC so I've had a play around with it in DPP & Affinity Photo.

I cloned out a lot of background clutter and then tried a few options with the SilverFx and AnalogFx plugins which I haven't used very much so far. I think I've settled on this one, but others are available to view on Flickr in the album here.

    Comments welcomed.

Really good processing that fits the subject perfectly. Maybe a bit too tightly cropped but still a nice image

    Cheers,

I agree with the crop - but it was one of those situations where going too far back to get some more space just ended up with more clutter around it and a load of people walking across the frame!

Nice shot. ..would look very "period" with some film grain

I like both, for different reasons.

Good conversion but with the subject I might have given it a bit of a retro look with a hint of sepia

I like the original, there are all sorts of opportunities for variation as above...perhaps split toning would work....but I like the straightforward mono as your original.
