    Avocets Wood Carving

Just thought you may like to see my latest Wood Carving. "Avocet Family" Birds are life size, carved in Lime with a Oak base and natural covering. The legs are made from brass rod covered in epox putty. It took about 300 hours to complete.
Something away from photography, but maintaining my first interest Wildlife, followed by my photography and then my Wood Carving.

Having escaped my former career and retrained as a Carpenter Joiner, I can well appreciate the skill and workmanship applied to this project. Hats off to you Trevor.

Ditto with Stan's query- Do you sell them or are they for your pleasure. If for sale, I would like to know some guide prices.

Thanks everyone for your interest and comments.
Nat, Stan. No I don't sell them although in the past I have taken on the odd commissions. The time scale for a carving of this nature is in excess of 300 hours. I should have mentioned the eyes are glass which I obtain from a specialist firm in Germany.
I will put up some others that I have completed within the past two years soon.
                            Once again many thanks
