    Downloaded Canon Manuals

Since manuals have ceased to be printed by CANON, we obtain such from an accompanying CD/DVD or from downloading from a specified CANON site.
The printed manuals were clean prints, now downloaded manuals have "COPY" watermarked on each page.
I find this aggravating - do we know why they do this? Or, how can we avoid Watermarks in printing them?

    Re: Downloaded Canon Manuals

This website has copies of Canon camera manuals and program manuals; without watermarks. (Plus anything made by Canon: printers, projectors etc.)
    Might be useful.

        Thanks for your 2 replies.
For your info the manual I refer to is for TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II.
To Enigma: Canon paperwork with my lens sent me to that site you quote (CANON inserted a "WWW" as well!) and I got the same manual with watermarks. On my iPad the watermarks show, but on my PC and opening the file in ADOBE READER then the watermarks do not show until you print the pages. My EOS 7D II manual (the long one) has no watermarks. But I have noticed this before - but forgotten which manual it was.
To Janet: The Asia site that you gave me also has watermarks on that manual, and they go to great lengths about various Adobe Readers, but then say you cannot print without watermarks. So not useful.
So one has to put up with this trend - but WHY/

Checked Aus and USA too.... Both had them.

As for why, probably simple really, people are selling printed manuals on eBay and as Canon hold the copyright, I bet it is so they can be proved not to be original manuals being sold, but copies breaching their copyright.
          Canon 1DX, 50D, EF500 F4.0 L, EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L I , EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II, EF70-200 f/2.8L II, EF180 f3.5L Macro, EF 24-105 f/4L, EF17-40 f/4L, EF2.0X III, EF1.4X III, 430EX II, MR-14EX...
