    Red Admiral

    I think, not into all things tiny.. just having a play during a boring lunch, it was a bit windy so trying to catch them on a swaying plant is a bit of fun. Still no caterpillars on the ragwort.

    A nice shot, Tony but I think it's a small tortoiseshell (although I could be, and invariably am, wrong!)

              Must be a regional thing Trev, they're by far the most common butterfly in my smallish garden. Just having a Coke in the garden, too early for vodka and there's at least nine here. They tend to be dominant as well, chasing away the other, esp Painted Lady.
