    Interesting but way out of my price range no doubt. I'm still somewhat surprised to see no response to the Sigma/Tamron 150-600s. Nikon had the200-500 our fairly soon after that, which make me think they had it in the pipeline already, but nowt from Canon.
    EOS 7D mk II, Sigma 150-660C, Canon 17-85 EF-S, Tamron 10-24 and a wife who shares my obsession.

      Very interested to read this but certainly way out of my financial means and defintely out of my weight restrictions bar! I have, recently seen, some Nikon owners carting a hefty lens around.

        Given Canon's latest pricing strategy plus currency I dread to think what the DO 600mm will retail for.

          A 300-600mm F4 with the built in 1.4x would be nice.

          Could I handhold all day at F4 though? Maybe F5.6 then.
