    Stumped

    The local council have decided to clear some trees out from the woods....and kindly made some seating along the footpath....5D3 and 50mm f1.2L

    For me, I'm not sure that the shallow DOF works for this image. I think a larger DOF to bring the 2nd stump into focus would be better.

      I think you're right.....the narrow Dof is a bit of an overkill......thanks Tom.

        I would have preferred all three stumps to be sharp and clear. Just a thought.

          I don't mind the shallow DOF but the vignetting is a bit heavy handed - particularly as the DOF is doing that job anyway.

          Shot was a good idea though.
