Same Black Card and vase....

The same black card as a background, a vase that has been seen here previously but with Dahlias in it. This time it is the turn of some Sweet Peas.

both look good Peter although I would try and get the black card looking pure black rather than the off black. With the second it would be easy, just make a selection of the background and fill with black. Could do something similar with the first but the black showing through the glass may look a bit odd

I much prefer the second shot....the background could be darkened using the black slider....I don't think it would effect the flowers noticeably, it doesn't need much.

Hmmm ........... not so sure about that Stan.

In my opinion, a pure black background might end up with the vase of flowers just floating in limbo. I think it needs the bit of shadow and highlight to place the vase solidly in the scene. Perhaps increasing the contrast a little might help.

I'll have a play if I get a few minutes and see what works best.
