    Disabled Photographers Society?

    I've got a hatful of old cameras here that the DPS expressed interest in at the show back in March. Despite emailing and site visits I seem unable to make contact with them.

    I can deliver, no problem with that, even though they offer to collect. If anyone has a direct contact so that I can at least determine whether they want the items or not I'd appreciate it.

    Otherwise, the next stop is the recyclers.

    Thanks.

    Hi John I too have tried (& failed) to deal with the DPS; they sure don't make life easy for themselves - surprisingly!
    Cheers;

      I tried last year, but they did mention there chairman had retired and that they were in a state of flux. But this year they did not anticipate any problems. Seems they were wrong.

        John,

        Have you tried to sell these,say on Ebay, and give the money received to a worthy good cause? I find that some of these societies are a waste of time.

          I'd get peanuts and would pay more in commission and postage. I think their browse and look stand at the photo show would get the best return and for some, it offers a therapeutic service in trying to effect a repair.

          The members on the stand seem far more enthusiastic than the support they get from the back room, though having been a little involved in some voluntary 'work' I feel I understand what these people are up against.

          All I want to se is the best use for the items - and I can't think of a better use than the D.P.S.
