    Feather in the grass

    ....this epitomised the windy dry day to me while out walking 100D, 55-250STM f5.6, 1/500 at 250mm ISO200

        Hi Brian, first is very well seen and exposed. I like the simplicity of the image... Sadly #2 doesn't have that same impact for me...
        Cheers;

            As previously mentioned, I really like the first shot, it ticked all the boxes.

            For the second shot, I always applaud trying something different. It won't always work out, but if you don't try you will never know. It has potential and I can see where you were coming from. I also think you have made the very best of what you have; with the post just off the thirds, the barbed wire as a diagonal lead in to the shot and the clump of greener grass as the base. But unfortunately, however much I try, there just isn't enough in the shot to hold my attention.

            Having said that, I still look forward to your next "something different".

              That's nice Brian, I like the subtleness.
