    ...please can anyone help with technique...
    this is on the kitchen window.....blowing around like crazy...a European garden Spider/Cross Orb Weaver?

    Hi Brian; if that's on the kitchen window, I'd have a word with the missus about the housework (he said - as he runs for cover )
    Looks like a stock-standard UK Garden Spider to me...
    As for 'technique', having tried these, nothing to do except quell the breeze. Either wait, or create a barrier if you can...

      I was orignally going to post a picture of a duster as help, but I appear to have been gazumped by Lee, so the effect would be lost.

      I think Lee has hit the method of rectification on the head.
