    Saltburn setting sun

    I had a trip out with a couple of friends last week, taking in the views of Staithes and Saltburn. I quite like this one from Saltburn even though it doesn't show all of the pier.

    EDIT: Rather than start another thread I have added two images.

    #1 original image

    #2 The full structure

    #3 The aftermath, I'm not sure what brought the family on to the beach but they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

        Super image...nice lead in in lines, colours and good lighting to the fronts of the buildings...love it!

                Great shots, wonderful colours. I think overall I prefer #2, mainly because of the lack of people!

                  A really good set Peter. Of them all I prefer the first with the sun setting between the struts of the pier (purposely shot that way of course).

                    Thanks Chris and Alan for taking time to look and comment. The pier lends itself nicely for this type of image. I may remove the people from the last one and crop some of the bottom whilst doing so.

                      Cracking set, I prefer the last 2 because of the full Pier in shot, 2nd shot for me if I had to choose, though I do like the pink in the 3rd sky

                        They are all excellent but the first is my pick too.

                            Hi Peter; it's #2 for me by a long way! #1 - my eye is being drawn right out of the frame by the pier leaving exit stage right, whereas #2 has the advantage of both the full pier, great light, and the clouds pointing the way in to the middle of the image taking the eye right to the sunset. Well worth the trip out.
                            Cheers;
                            Lee
