    Laurel Falls

    Went up to the Laurel Falls near the Delaware Watergap in New Jersey. I took two cameras with me. EOS M3 w/Tamron 10-24mm and the 6DMKII w/ EF 24-105mm.

    All images were Raw Images imported in LR and some post processing there

    This is the Lower Laurel Falls:

    Nice set Tom, I think you have just the right amount of milky water effect

      Nice set Tom. Although I'll be biased I do prefer the 6D II images

            Nice set Tom.

            I think I prefer the 6D MKII versions. Assuming they have been processed the same, the colouring is just a tad too vivid on the M3 versions.

              Thanks Paul, Tony, Derek, Stan & Colin for stopping by. Colin that are processed the same in LR as I wanted to see the differences between cameras and Lens. Did this before we travel in October, as my plan it to bring the M5 with the Tamron 18-400 attached and the M3 with the 10-24 attached and then 1 other lens the EF-M 18-55mm.

                Hi Tom; an interesting exercise... The M3 seems to be picking up a significant blue bias, specially on the rocks, and is maybe a little richer in the reds, both of which can be 'tamed' in LR or PS... IQ wise, there doesn't appear to be much in it - but the full size may show better. Enjoy your travels - I'll look forward to seeing some results
                Cheers;

                  Nice shots, Tom. The "milky" water is very well done.

                  It's difficult to know what is better without knowing what you saw. For instance, in the second pair of shots, I prefer the black rocks from the M3 images over the muddy brown colours of the 6D2, although overall I think the 6D2 just has it. And whichever one is "right" is dependent wholly on what you saw, otherwise it's just down to sorting them in PP.
