    Lightroom.....multiple computers

Does anyone use LR on more than one computer? Is it covered in the normal license or do you have to pay more? I'd like to use it on my small laptop in addition to my desktop computer. Any advice welcome please....

If you are using Adobe CC you may install software on up to two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or one each.
If you install on a third computer, it will request you to de-activate on the other two computers.  You can then reactivate one of the previous two computers, and use Creative Cloud apps on it.

Brilliant! Thanks for that....I only have it on one computers at present so I'll load it onto my laptop....almost makes CC look more cost effective....at least I'll get more value from it now....cheers!

I have the stand alone LR and I run it on my desktop and my Laptop as add only allows it to be installed on two devices.

Sorted now...thanks .....and it was easy to install.

Tom....for some reason which must have seemed good at the time I upgraded to CC...I've still not used photoshop - only lightroom. Thanks.

Photoshop adds the finishing touches to most pics and as it readily accepts bolt ons you can add selective noise reduction ,and I also utilise nik.efex through it

I use Adobe CC on several machines from time to time. My workflow used to be LR first and then open the file in PS if I needed to. I tend to bypass LR these days and go straight to ACR/PS, after all, ACR has the same engine as LR. The issue I have had in using LR on different machines is you obviously want to use the same catalogue so I have mine on Dropbox which is no big deal but you also have to make sure the path is always the same to the files which is not always possible; drive letters etc have to be the same. If you don't LR has to be told each time where the files are (also on DropBox for me). That doesn't sound too onerous but from experience can be quite painful on occasions. That's one of the main reasons I started to use ACR and PS more rather than LR.
