Low light photography- Opera through the ages.

My pictures from the concert held on 29th April appears in quite a few of the local papers. I am doing a direct upload rather than through flickr. I simply love my Canon 6D + 24-105 lens and will be very loathe to upgrade to the mk 2 versions of both.

It must be great to have material published...thats an excellent set up you have Nat....I love my 24-105....super sharp and lots of contrast.
I recently did a test at 100mm comparing the 24-105, 100-400 and 100 macro......and the one that looked best out of the camera was from the 24-105.

Well done on getting your pictures in the papers.

As regards to your 6D and lens - if they're working, doing what you want and getting your pix in the papers then why upgrade? Do you need the extra pixels, the faster frame rate etc. or is it perhaps a case of resisting anything but temptation? (an affliction I know so well)...

Thanks Brian, Nigel and Peter for your comments and encouragement. Actually quite a few of my pics are published here and there & payment offered; I channel the payments to my charitable work. The Opera through the ages also appeared in the Freepress which covers St.Asaph to Wrexham & a bit beyond. My kingfisher too was published and I attach these as direct uploads.

                    Well done Natty.

I recall your early days on this Forum, when your photo's could best be described as ......... adequate! Now look at you: Wildlife extremo and Nationally published photographer. As the man once said: The harder you work, the luckier you get".

Thanks Tony and Colin for passing by. It is called as "progress" by listening to more experienced photographers.
