Stunning! A lot to like and it would have been understandable had you cropped to the groyne but keeping those lovely pebbles has added some great texture to the shot. Yes, very nice indeed

        Cheers,

Thanks Stan. I have a funny feeling I may post here when it hits the shelves.

It was really late Paul, a few minutes before 10pm.

Ah, Cromer being on the East, I thought that slight orange may have been pre dawn

The sun had set to the left (west) of the pier. To jog my memory I just checked location of the pier on the TPE app on my phone and with the sun set at 294 degrees the line is almost directly left (west) of the pier almost starting at the front of the pier (if that makes sense). We did look at the other side of the pier to see if shooting away from the sun set would yield any results but the light wasn't doping much so the traditional shot of shooting towards the sunset was best.

Ha, I see, have you ever been to Hunstanton, as you look over the Wash the Sun does actually set right over the Sea.

                        Regards Paul

Thanks for the 'heads up' Paul, I'll bear that mind. Information on locations is always valuable. Some forget that although the sun may rise and set in the same position that position in relation to the coast is always going to be different as coastal Britain is not in straight lines. Thanks again for the info on Hunstanton.
