    Re: Heading to the bar

I think you've created a good composition Ian. Your processing may cause some be liked by some and not others but you have created something that fits with your vision so well done.
My only thought is that the chairs on the right side seem to be a little too prominent, from a colour perspective IYSWIM as they keep drawing my eyes away from the rest of the image.

yeah can see your point on the chairs, but that corner does seem to have a lot of orange as well like the guys with the tops and chairs - cheers for the feedback and hopefully more will like than not

Actually the chairs don't bother me as I find that my eye travels down the canal 1st then down the right side. Well composed and processed Ian

Love it, Ian. Great light down the canal then so much interest in the lit windows, the people, the boats.

Really has to be seen in the full version to get the best effect. Works for me then.

I really like the overall colours and feel. Nothing wrong with this type of 'painting look' processing if it is what you wanted to achieve. I can see the point re the chairs and the orange shirted person is probably adding to the distraction. Having said that if Peter hadn't made a reference to them I may not have noticed. What are the green and red lines/dots at the front of the boat? Are they just reflections?

I knew some wouldn't like the painting process and say its over processed but if that was the look I was going for then its my choice, a out of the camera shot, is just not me LOL

I could have adjusted the orange feel but with chairs, lights, sunset, and even t-shits it was bound to have that feel to it ..As for the lights, I don't know maybe some type of navigation system ?

But glad you liked it Tony
