    The Copper Horse

The Copper Horse is a statue of George III in Windsor Great Park. It stands on Snow Hill, at one end of the Long Walk - the other end being at Windsor Castle.

It was a pretty hazy day for long-distance shots but I've cleaned this up as far as my abilities allow!

2 & 3 very nice, shame about the haze but it still works as a decent shot..Do you have LR ? have you tried the haze filter

Cheers Ian. I used the Haze Removal tool in Affinity Photo - you should have seen the original! I suppose I could try de-haze again on this de-hazed image...

I'd say looking at the image you've gone about as far as you could, still pulled an image from something that many probably wouldn't have, well done

          Re: The Copper Horse

I've just de-hazed the de-hazed shot. I then had to clone out the white are above the castle entrance which became too distracting (arguably I should have done this anyway!).

I very much like the first two....the background sky compliments the statue very well....and the dehizing of the last is a definite improvement and makes it into a definite keeper.

Good images Chris. De-hazing the de-hazed image works You would definitely need a clearer day to improve it further. I've never been there - looks a good point to shoot the castle with a long(ish) lens.

Thanks Tony. I think that's pretty much the quintessential shot taken from Windsor Great Park!

I'll go back again when the light is better. Probably when we get a freezing cold but clear, crisp winter's day!
