    Beech 18

    Hi All,

I seem to have been adopted by the Beech 18 team as their photographer - lucky me. Great set of lads and a pilot, Nick, who knows how to show an aircraft off. The Beech had it's first public display at Little Gransden, a few weeks ago - more shows to come.

After a three year restoration by Beechcraft at Bruntingthorpe - this is the end result! I should add, I was on top of the control tower at Stoughton when I took this picture.

    Cheers,
    Neil

Lovely pic from a great position

Although that's not its first public show, as here is a shot of it at Blackbushe 75 back in July (yours is a better pic, though )

        Hi guys,

The Beech is very photogenic, especially on a glorious blue sky like your picture, Chris. Back in July Nick didn't have a display authority for the Beech so he wouldn't have done any passes etc. However, he does like to 'clear the seagulls' from the runway at Leicester, before he lands.

        Cheers,
        Neil

Yes, he just did a few passes around the airfield.

          LOL

                  Hi All,

                  Thanks for the comments.

Couple of weeks ago went over to Spanhoe airfield from Leicester East. There was an Auster Club meet that weekend. Bit of a rush to get over there. Simon, in the right seat, jumped straight out a Harvard and into the Beech. He didn't even have time to change his helmet for headphones. You can see Spanhoe runway in the distance.

                  Cheers,
                  Neil
