Great work. I love using a black infinity curve myself and absolutely adore the images you have created using this technique.

          Re: Ballet in Black II

I love the poses Stan and the black against black, but ..................... on my screen there is not enough delineation between the black of her outfit and the background.

Difficult as it may be, I would make a selection of her outfit and bring out a hint of shadow detail and then perhaps just a little extra to the edges of her outfit.

black on black is not the easiest of subjects. Have done something similar on some of the other shots but dont think I did much on these two. Will have to have another look. She did also pose in a white tutu which was much easier

The images look perfect on my calibrated monitor, Stan

thanks. They dont look too bad on my monitors which are both calibrated but there might be room for improvement on the second - her tutu and the left side of her top look fine but the arm on the right is beginning to disappear into the backgroundnd

                    thanks for looking Paul

We did another session at the studio yesterday morning and I checked with the guy who is the organiser and owner and who set up the lights if he needed any post processing to bring up the detail and he said no, thats what the lights were for - looking at his images they were very similar to mine and we all used exactly the same settings, although some cameras were different
