Snapped out of my rocky period..

    Hi all,

Finally "snapped" out of my lengthy bout of self-pity for the last 18 month following illness, extremely high blood pressure issues, 4 months out of work over Christmas and New Year (certainly didnt help the blood pressure), and lots of other things I wont bore you with.

New job since February has kept me busy and finally after sorting a lot of things out, I'm now getting the photography bug again.

2100 photos over the last two weeks, having set myself a project on holiday (Lanzarote) to get splashing waves LOL.

Whilst there, just down the road from where we were staying, there was a rocky platform that one or two upright stones so I just took a quick picture or two to get myself used to the camera again...

A few days later I returned to the same platform, to come realise that the stone had been joined by a few friends as structures like this started appearing:

    Even a doggy turned up:

Each day we would go past and something different would have appeared by the local rock balancing artist - all very interesting and I hope that my photos have done it some justice - other pics in the album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsm4DHL29 if anyone wants to look.

    Thanks for looking.

Welcome back Andy and amazing rock balancing shots.

There was an article on the radio during the week about rock balancing and apparently some locals get annoyed about it spoiling their view, so as self appointed "rock police", they dismantle them daily.

Some people need to get a life!

Nice to see you back out using your camera again and posting on here Andy. I hope your health and employment continues to improve, akin to your narrative of the rock art I suppose. A well captured series showing the development of each of the art work, well done Andy.
