          I really enjoyed it tony tbh these were taken during a brief break in the weather as it rained every day we were in the lakes .but given better conditions I would return to this zoo ,plus it's free entry till the end of the year to .apparently the BBC were filming somewhere on site as well

            Well it is refreshing to see a Zoo that appears to consider the viewers and the photographers, the snow leopards at Twycross display is excellent, the glass walled cafe looks overit, however the amur leopards are in a mutli linked room of brown painted breeze blocks that are neither attractive, natural or photogenic and appear cramped for the anmals.

            This is the cafe / restaurant view when being built, windows on left are the cafe.





            But this is a disgrace and wants tearing down



            you can see the depth of it in this image and it is made up of about 4 or 5 compartments that have had a opening cut in them, they tend to pace up and down the fence internally when I have seen them

            3rd August 2016. Two snow leopard cubs have been born at Twycross Zoo. It is the rarest of the big cats left in the world with only around 200 most in captiv...


            PS you wouldn't have the lakes without the rain :D
