    Re: Red Squirrel

Dull and overcast is sometimes better in the woodland for the red squirrels as this shot shows

I went yesterday, light was quite harsh, people there feeding them with peanuts and seed and as fast as I was putting down hazelnuts away from the crowd, the peacocks were taking them before the squirrels had a chance so just gave up till next time

        Re: Red Squirrel

        Thanks Stan, Jeff.

I had that problem today, there were a group of people feeding them this that and the other just above the Church. I moved well away put down some Hazel nuts and all was fine, but then I was spotted and everyone came to where I was. One chap even asked me to move - I was in the way of his shot There might be ladies reading this so I wont go into details of where I told him to go!

              Thanks Mark, Tom
I was right fed up with a few people yesterday following me around. I put down Hazel Nuts got the reds taking them then all and sundry were around me, one chap plonked a tripod next to me and asked to move so he could get a better angle. Bad manners in my opinion.

                  Very Nice Trev.

Much harder to shoot in bright light. I invariably end up using some fill-in flash to lighten the shadows, so I think the light has done you a favour. The ear tufts are starting to come out, so another few weeks and I will make a visit.

It`s rather odd how people make a "B" line for us photographers , and I feel your frustration Trevor . I guess they want to see what we are looking at .
