Whilst I very much like the mono version of number 2, this colour one is equally as good.

I can't help but think that there are two shots here that are quite nice but could have been improved by your viewpoint

In the first what really takes my interest is the dramatic clouds and the light on both white parts of the pier. So I think I'd have wanted to walk in closer to the pier, get to the shoreline and shoot up in a portrait mode to get lots of sky.

In the second there's a lot I'm not interested in-namely the ugly post in the foreground. Again walking forward may have helped. Also -you have had a visit from the Horizon Police here....

I do like your mono of the pier on flickr but there's so much drama in these 2 colour shots above, I just don't think you've quite captured it.

I to like the 2nd image, but feel it could be better if the wall was cropped out.
