    Sunflowers at Sunset

    Sunflowers at Sunset

A Sunflower photo from Terrington in the Howardian Hills, taken earlier this week.

I'd spotted the Sunflowers on Monday when delivering the post and called back after work on Tuesday. My original intention, was to try and take a landscape photo, but I just couldn't find a composition that worked. I swapped lenses and looked for a more intimate shot.

Thanks Brian, I think it's just down to having taken lots of photos over the past few years and making lots of mistakes. Eventually you get to know what's going to work and what won't. :)

Cheers Paul. I really would have liked to take a landscape photo, but the field was too small and also on a fairly steep slope with scruffy trees and hedges along the borders. Since getting the EF 135, I've tried a lot of close-up shots, not all have worked, but this lens has become my favourite. :)

Edit: Hi Trev, thanks very much!
