    EOS Untility Software

    Help!
Page 57 of the EOS magazine Oct-Dec 2017 shows the method of adding lens data. My EOS utility is V2 which does not show the 'Registering Lens' option. I have an EOS650 and according to Canon website there is only Utility2 available to download. It would seem if I've got it right the process shown only works on certain cameras. I tried kidding the Canon site that I has a 5D MkIII to see if that would offer me a different version as there is talk on here (and on YouTube) about Utility3 but can't find how to get it and don't know if it would work on a 650 anyway. The magazine article makes no reference to older models or lists by model number but the screenshots show Utility3.

I don't know what computer or operating system you are using. On Windows 10, in the Start menu, if I open the Canon Utilities folder, Lens Registration tool is there as a separate item from EOS Utility, just below DPP.

In Windows Explorer it's located on my computer under C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon\EOS Lens Registration Tool\.
EOS 6D, 6D Mk II, 80D, 70D, 100D, 200D, M50, M100. Richard W - Star!! You have solved my problem in one go. Like you I'm on Windows 10 but never thought about the Canon Utility option, I was only looking at accessing it through the EOS Utility as it showed in the magazine article. My sincere thanks to you for your very helpful advice - much appreciated.
I am sure there will be others out there who have the same issue.
