          Nice shot. It would look better if the image is lightened a bit. It looks a bit dark on my monitor.

              Good capture but the shadows need lifting a little

                      Bearing in mind the above comments, I would suggest your exposure was unduly influenced by the sky and with birds against a clear sky, I would tend to over expose by 2/3rds to a full stop to get more accurate exposure for the bird.

                      I have taken the liberty of tweeking the shot a little to approximate what you saw, rather than what the camera thought it saw .......... hope you don't mind.

                        I agree Colin and I often stop up as much as 2 stops. On this occasion my thumb set the wheel back a couple of notches in my haste to capture the shot!
