    Binibeca, Menorca

    A view across the harbour towards the whitewashed village which was built in the 1970's to resemble a typical Menorcan fishing village. As the walls and rooves are all white, though a mono conversion would suit

    Hope you enjoyed your trip Stan; we did find Binibeca interesting. The mono certainly suits. The sky/clouds look a little grainy but it may be the upload or my screen.

      like the composition Stan just not totally sold on the processing. With a nice blue sky and hopefully sea I would have thought this would have worked better colour ?

        I like the composition.....I'd suggest moving the blue channel luminance slider to the left to radically darken the sky...it might look good against the stark white buildings and clouds.

          Hi Sean; the clouds look a little too processed which spoils if for me, cos the rest of the image looks good. Looks like the sort of place you could take a hundred different shots, from wide land ape to close-up detail and abstract work... Hope you did
          Cheers;

              thanks guys

              just tried that but it has no effect as there all the colours were removed in the conversion - unless I was using the wrong slider (HSL, luminance in ACR)

                        Just seen this...

                        Works fine for me in mono but I find the sky a bit bland with the clouds fading somewhat into the background somewhat. I reckon they need a touch more zing...
