                      I looked at the b&w version and I am inclined to agree with the other opinions, that the colour version is better. Having said that though, should the clouds not have a bit more white in them. Against the bold white buildings, they seem a bit muted. (Maybe you did that deliberately, so that they would not compete with the buildings?)

                        in fact at that particular point in the day the sky in that direction was 100% clear so the clouds are from an image taken shot from another direction and blended at an opacity of around 30 % to bring some detail

                          A well known view for me, definitely prefer the colour version. When you’ve got such strong bright colours, why remove them all to go mono??!!

                          (I’ll just hide until the dust settles now)

                            When you’ve got such strong bright colours, why remove them all to go mono??!!
                            I originally converted it as a holiday postcard we sent to friends and family while we were away via Touchnote as i wanted to do something different and it seemed to suit mono as it is basicly a white village. Mono usually works best where you have a range of colours in the image from black through to white, so another reason I thought it would work well
