    Scarlet Dragonfly

    Dragonflies in Menorca were were very thin on the ground and many of those we saw were not perching apart from one or two exceptions like this scarlet dragonfly

                  Tried to photograph some dragonflies whilst I was away and was never as successful as this.

                  Beautiful colour and really nicely detailed image.

                    Dragons are one of my favourites to shoot during the summer but been so thin on the ground over here, I was hoping for better in Menorca but it wasnt to be

                              I believe this is a Broad-bodied Scarlet, shot one myself in Corsica but no where near as good as this.
