    Red Deer Rut

    Although I could hear these two stags battling it out they were deep into the woodland and bracken and I could not get them in view for the camera. Eventually they emerged looking completely shattered with the victor rejoining his small harem of hinds and the out of focus background stag looking on.

    Conditions didn't look ideal but the image tells a good story.
