    Great Crested Grebe

    This female surfaced with a small snack

    Nice low shooting angle lifts it above most 'bird on the water' shots.

          Superb shot Steve. POV much envied because if I followed suit I'd had difficulty in "getting up"!

            Hi Steve, I agree with the others, the low point of view really lifts this image. Most of the places i visit this is not possible without getting in the water. but i'm working on it

                          Lovely shot and the low angle suits it.

                          With a fish that small, you must have very quick reactions. Normally they surface, flip the fish tail forward and swallow all within a second or two.
