    Blenheim Palace - Lake view

Strange set of weather conditions today but quite pleased with this one...

It may be strange light, Andrew, but it is strangely beautiful. Wonderful framing and composition, even down to the positioning of the boat and the whitest cloud. Lovely.

brings back memories ,my oldest daughter was the stables manager there some years back ,I used to stay in the palace quiet often ,the staff wanted for nothing

Thanks guys. Can’t take credit for the positioning of the boat though Alex!

Very nice view and light. Think I would probably crop in slightly from the sides so the trees are at the edge of the frame, also from the top to get rid of some of those top branches and sky.

                    Thanks Patrick & Ian.

I appreciate your suggestions John, although I had deliberately kept the space past the trees as the palace is visible to the left but there was a little more room on the right than on this version. However I think the below is what you had in mind:

That’s exactly what I had in mind Andrew but have to confess, I hadn’t even noticed the palace .

I think the crop actually makes its more noticeable!
